Infragistics Ultimate 21.2 is out with an integrated low-code App Builder and 17 new controls for the Blazor and Web Components libraries of Ignite UI, the company’s web-based UI toolkit.
The company is recognized by Microsoft as contributing to the UI component system for Blazor — the popular ASP.NET Core component that allows web development with C# instead of JavaScript — along with Telerik, DevExpress, Syncfusion, Radzen, GrapeCity, jQWidgets and others.
The new Blazor and Web Components controls were added to the Infragistics Ultimate 21.2 tooling suite that includes a full-featured Data Grid and over 60 Chart types. New controls include Avatar components, icons, checkboxes, radio buttons, a calendar component, navigation bar and navigation drawer and others.
Blazor also figures in the new App Builder, which can now output production-ready Blazor code, matching existing Angular functionality. App Builder is described as a new cloud-based, drag-and-drop tool that helps UI designers and developers collaborate in a single working environment, speeding up app creation from design to code.
“App Builder is now included with the Ignite UI for Angular and Blazor web-based toolkits and eliminates the complexity of user interface design and development so developers can build business apps faster than ever before,” the company said in a Jan. 13 news release. “App Builder is also included with Indigo.Design, a complete design-to-code platform that integrates UI prototyping, design systems, user testing, app building and code generation to eliminate design hand-offs and reduce costly iterations — enabling true UX design-development collaboration.”
Other highlights of the release include:
“Windows Forms and WPF continue to be the most popular platforms for building apps in the enterprise space,” Infragistics said. “This release includes improvements in charts, geospatial maps, updated designers for .NET Core/.NET 6 design time in Visual Studio and more.”
